We cleared the invasive buckthorn from 183 acres of the Bog this past winter. This grant-funded project is on pace to exceed our goal of controlling buckthorn in over 200 acres.

Volunteer Shout Out
Volunteers continue to be the driving force for everything FOCB does. One of the latest projects was clearing buckthorn along the Field Station boardwalk. On Saturday, February 22, fifteen volunteers worked to control the invasive buckthorn along the Field Station boardwalk. Acres of the Bog were protected with this effort.
