Land owned by the DNR is open for public hunting. Land owned by the university is not open for public hunting. See the Public Lands Map for property boundaries.
There is a barrier-free pier at Watts Lake at the end of the bog that can be used for fishing.
Land owned by the DNR is open for public recreation including hiking. The parking area at the north end has a nature trail, maintained by the Friends. Land owned by the university is not open for hiking. See the Aerial View Access Map for trail entrances.
A boardwalk at the southern parking area provides access to Mud Lake. A canoe or kayak can be launched from the boardwalk. See the Aerial View Access Map for trail entrances.
Harvesting of plants is not allowed, except for wild edibles and invasive plants.
No camping is allowed.
The publicly accessible areas of the Cedarburg Bog do not have restrooms.
