Nino Ridgway
The Friends of the Cedarburg Bog is deeply grateful for a generous bequest from the estate of Nino Ridgway, formerly of Barthel Fruit Farm and Herbs & Everlastings, both in Mequon, Wisconsin. Nino’s bequest was made to the Friends’ permanent endowment with the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.
Nino was someone who cherished the natural world. She participated in classes offered by the Friends of the Cedarburg Bog and, through those experiences, developed a connection to this irreplaceable treasure in our community. It is a testament to her character that she chose to remember our mission in such a meaningful way.
Her generous bequest will help ensure that the Cedarburg Bog — one of Wisconsin’s most remarkable ecological wonders — continues to be protected, studied, and celebrated for years to come through our endowment. Nino’s gift is a lasting expression of her love for the land, and we are honored to carry her legacy forward in our work.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Nino’s loved ones and ask our members to join us in celebrating her extraordinary generosity. Because of people like Nino, the Friends of the Cedarburg Bog can continue its vital mission with renewed purpose and possibility.
In gratitude and remembrance,
The Board of Directors
