New Dutton Foundation Grant – Buckthorn control project planning another big year
FOCB has been awarded a generous new grant from the James E. Dutton Foundation to continue our winter work controlling buckthorn in the Bog. With that funding and remaining funds from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through SEWISC (https://sewisc.org/) and a WDNR Friends Stewardship Grant, we are planning our work and assembling our team for the coming winter’s season. If we get good ice in the Bog again this year, we will bring our total acreage for this three-year project to over 250 acres.
