Wisconsin Indian Ethnobotany
Saturday, August 15, 9am – Noon
Join Lee Olsen, who has been teaching Ethnobotany of the Western Great Lakes for over 30 years and is famous for his work and knowledge in that area, on a walk in the Cedarburg Bog and its wooded islands. Lee will show a wide variety of plants used for food, medicine, and technology; and he will demonstrate some native plant use skills. You will see beautiful samples of native art made from birch, cedar, tamarack, and Black Ash — all species found in our very own Cedarburg Bog.
