Dragonflies of the Bog with Jamie Schiesel

Join Jamie Schiesel for a short indoor program followed by a field trip through the Cedarburg Bog looking for odonates (dragonflies and damselflies). Wisconsin has 160+ species of odonates to see from April all the way to early November. Learn about the anatomy and life cycle of these ancient insects, and have the opportunity to see them up close in the field. The bog is home to many families of odonates, each with unique colors, size, and lifestyle to discover! Jamie works at the Mequon Nature Preserve as the Ecological Education Manager and is a current board member of the Wisconsin Dragonfly Society.
