Summary

The Friends of Cedarburg Bog need volunteers for a stewardship work party in the

Field Station’s Beechwoods State Natural Area

Saturday, 12/4, 9:00 am to Noon

Where:  Meet at the UWM Field Station, 3095 Blue Goose Rd., Saukville

Volunteers will be working outdoors in the hilly upland forest.  Be sure to dress for the weather – We will have to cancel the workday if the weather does not cooperate.

We will be pulling Oriental Bittersweet growing on the forest floor.  We will also use a GPS to record the locations of the patches that are pulled so that they can be mapped.  A back that allows pulling something from the ground and gloves will be the only tools required.  FOCB can provide gloves, you provide the back.  The plants pull relatively easily.

If you can help with this project in the beautiful old-growth forest, please email FOCB: BogFriends@gmail.com.  Or go to our website [BogFriends.org] and register on the FOCB “Programs & Events” page.

You can’t find entertainment like this anywhere else; come join the fun!
